September 30, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pmTBD
CORRI LA VITA is a charity walk/run designed to contribute to the health facilities of Florence specialized in the fight against breast cancer.
There are two options that differ in degree of difficulty, both taking advantage of the beautiful streets of Florence and their breathtaking views of the city. The run route is approximately 11 km (7 miles) and the walk about 6 km (almost 4 miles), past monuments, churches, through gardens and buildings open for the occasion, with guided tours organized by the Hidden City Association. In the afternoon, those of you wearing your official event t-shirt, generously offered by Salvatore Ferragamo, can visit some museums and art exhibitions for free.
The funds raised by CORRI LA VITA 2018 will be used to support a new major project including the greater Florence area (Florence, Prato, Empoli, Pistoia) in the fight against breast cancer and to assist cancer patients. In addition to this, Corri La Vita will continue to support the three main projects of LILT Florence – the Ce.Ri.On. Oncological Rehabilitation Center of Villa delle Rose – FILE Italian Foundation of Leniterapia Onlus and SenoNetwork Italia Onlus, a portal that brings together the Italian Breast Cancer Units.
This event is supported by the entire Florentine community of Italian locals, International locals and year after year also particpation from many of you studying abroad in Florence.
It is a great opporutnity to contribute but also to get out and see the city that is adopting you for a semester and to be in amongst the local community.
