Salvatore Ferragamo Museum

Salvatore Ferragamo Shoe Museum Florence

Opened in May 1995, the museum celebrates the life and work of Italian shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo. You will be blown away by the 10,000 shoe models created and owned by Ferragamo on disaplay. The rotating display is chosen depending on specific themes, which perfectly represents Ferragamo as he was the kind of designer that linked his work to the cultural mood of a time period.

The evolution of fashion and his company can be seen through these shoes as they date as far back as the 1920s and up until his death in 1960. You can also view various sketches, books, photographs, and even wooden shoe molds belonging to celebrities like Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Lauren!

The museum is situated in Palazzo Spini Feroni, a medieval palace built in 1289. Walls covered in frescos and the building’s architecture makes the perfect home for an exhibition as stylish and stunning as Ferragamo’s.

Opening Hours:
Monday to Sunday 10:00am – 7:30pm

Price: €8

Important Information

It is possible to buy tickets online in advance but usually completely unnecessary, especially as the tickets cost more online than in person. And there should rarely ever be a line to get it.

There are not student discounts but The Ferragamo Museum does open its doors for FREE on the first Sunday of the month.

Despite the fact that there are no discounts, the nice thing about paying is that the proceeds from ticket sales are used to fund scholarships for young people.
