If you are traveling to the beautiful city of Seville and have yet to book accommodations look no further than Hostel One Catedral. Nestled in the middle of the city, the location, service and overall vibe of this hostel is unmatched. It is a great hostel that offers you a fun, safe and incredible experience while you get to explore the city of Seville.
Experience
Upon arrival at Hostel one Catedral I knew it was going to be a fantastic vacation. The only complaint I have about this hostel is they have a very small sign so make sure to have the location mapped and keep your eyes out when you are close to the location. Upon arrival you’ll notice that it is two different buildings which both have beds and they are directly next door to each other. Both buildings are extremely picturesque and on the inside are exactly how one would imagine an old, well-kept Spanish building would look.
They are extremely interactive with their guests from the second you enter the building. They offer daily free walking tours, free dinners at night, and almost every night a pub-crawl lead by one of the staff members. You will meet some incredible people from all over the world. The staff really makes everyone become friends so it is great whether you are a solo traveler or traveling with a group.
The Rooms
This hostel has all the typical rooms to book that other hostels have, they have 4, 6 and 8 bedrooms with private room options as well. You can choose co-ed, all male or all female dormitories. The majority of the rooms have a floor communal bathroom with several showers. The bathrooms are cleaned twice a day and are always extremely well kept. There is an option for a private bathroom in one of the rooms. The overall quality of the rooms are unmatched, always clean, with what I would consider typical comfortable hostel bunk beds.
The Location
The location of this hostel is what really sets it apart. It is exactly where you want to be in the city. You are less than a 10-minute walk to the famous Seville Cathedral, The Alcazar, City Center and Alfalfa. (Main bar district) The hostel also has several delicious restaurants and tapa’s bars in walking distance.
Final Thoughts
I have stayed in loads of hostels around Europe and I can honestly say this is one of my favorites. The overall vibe, location, people and free opportunities truly make it one of the best hostels ever. Also a fun fact – for a period of time it was actually rated on hostel world as the best hostel in Europe. I can’t recommend this hostel enough, if you do decide to stay there, you will absolutely love it.
