Have you really even been to Italy if you haven’t been on a wine tour? The answer is no, but don’t worry, we’re here to tell you about one of the best ones right here in Florence! Fat Tire Tours has just opened a Florence office, and in addition to their legendary bike tours, they’re also offering this soon-to-be legendary wine tour. You’ll get to learn a little more about the history and culture of this iconic Italian city while tasting delicious Tuscan wines — what’s not to love?
The tour meets in an authentic Italian wine bar, and the group sizes are always small enough to make your experience personal and enjoyable. As the Fat Tire professional sommelier leads you on a culinary journey through the Chianti region, you’ll taste three different wines, three different cheeses, and two different olive oils. Whether you’re just visiting Florence or you’re staying for an entire semester, this tour is the perfect way to spend an afternoon learning to enjoy the best Italian wines like the locals do. So, next time you have a free day in Florence, instead of cracking open that €2 bottle of Freschello, treat yourself to a real wine tasting experience!

Aside from the very obviously reason we love this tour — wine, duh — our favorite part about the whole experience is the Fat Tire personal sommelier! He’ll teach you all about the fancy wines and cheeses so you can act super cultured and sophisticated the first time you go out to dinner back home and impress (read: annoy) your friends and parents. He even won an official Best Sommelier award back in 2014 — this guy is the real deal.

I tell you something about Florence. Florence is the capital of Italy. Italy is the first country who introduced the first time wine. Its red wine is famous all over the world. 5 years ago i have visited this era. I really like all the hotels. I cannot forget our tour moments.
My family and I have started using AirB&B a lot when we travel. Earlier this year we rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 8 days that about 10 minutes from Disney World in Kissimmee….for about $700. This really was a no-brainer for us, as booking 2 hotel rooms for that long in May would have easily cost double (or triple) that. You don’t get the on-site perks but for us, it’s worth it.swim with dolphins kona
