If you want to still remain in the city center, but need to get away from all the hustle and bustle, Osteria delle Brache, is the place for you! This restaurant is off the beaten path on a quiet street but still only a 5 minute walk to Palazzo Vecchio or the Uffizi Gallery. Super Convenient? I think YES!

Their menu offers a range of authentic Tuscan dishes and pizzas but the feather in their cap is the selection of Atelier. You may ask, what is an Atelier? It is thin foccaccia style bread stuffed with all sorts of delicious combinations of ingredients. Try the vegetarian or the inside which is a perfect balance between ham, mozzarella, pesto and parmesan shavings. And round it all out with the Aristotle which is filled with cheese, pear, walnuts and honey – AMAZING.

Nome is open for both lunch and dinner. While maintaining their awesome flavor, they also include vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options on their menu. The ambiance is very charming; they have the perfect mix of stylishness and comfort. There is limited outdoor seating but even better is their converted garage section. An indoor/outdoor feel, it is open on both sides, with ceiling fans and plants and deep comfy seats. You cannot leave Florence without eating here!

We love…I gave away all my secrets in the profile above!! My current favorite is the Inside foccaccia. I love that I don’t have to order a whole one, you can order just a couple of slices or share one with a friend. They are also never in a rush at Nome. You can sit, relax, enjoy your meal and the company of your friends with out feeling like you are being hustled to pay the bill and leave. It truly is a cute little getaway from the over populated streets of Florence and as a bonus it makes for the most adorable insta photos!
