If you are looking for the perfect date night spot or place to treat your parents while they are in town (or for them to treat you), look no further than Acqua Al 2. This restaurant is ideally located in the popular Santa Croce area, yet sits on the corner of two much quieter streets. After you have indulged yourself in a delicous multi course meal, because lets’s be honest you won’t be able to decide on just one menu item, you’re already in the perfect location to hit up all the bars in the surrounding area after.

Their menu contains a wide variety of both Primi and Secondi options. In the Primi section you will find a long list of their very unique, housemade pastas such as the Farfalline alla Polpa di Zucca con Sbriciolata di Amaretti (butterfly pasta with pumpkin and amaretto crumble), Riso alle Fragole e Bollicine (strawberry risotto) and Spinaci e Formaggi Ravioli in Salsa di Panne con Avocado e Melograno (spinach and cheese ravioli in a cream sauce with avocado and pomegranate) .The Secondi section is where you will find their decadent meat options like the Filetto al Mirtillo Nero (filet in a blueberry sauce), Filetto al Aceto Balsamico (filet a balsamic reduction) and Petto di Pollo ai Funghi Porcini (chicken filet with porcini mushrooms). The best part is that for those of you that can never make up your mind, you don’t have to! They offer an Assagio di Primi (chef selection of 5 different pastas) and an Assagio di Secondi (chef selection of 3 different entrees).

Acqua Al 2 is open for both lunch and dinner and reservations are highly recommended.

I love the Blueberry Steak and the Spinach and Cheese Ravioli. However, I usually can’t make up my mind so I go with either the Assagio di Primi or Assagio di Secondi.

Insider tip- go with a friend and one person order the pasta sampler and one person order the entree sampler and then you can try it all!
