Cabiria Cafe & Lounge Bar

It’s a quick walk to the other side of the river to get to Cabiria, a cool cafè/bar that attracts an eclectic mix of Italians, locals, hipsters, artists, writers and musicians. Located right in the heart of Piazza Santo Spirito, Cabiria has been around for years and is a popular hangout for the people in the area (especially for coffee in the morning and then for a drink at night).

There is a simple menu of pizza, pasta and salads that includes vegetarian and gluten-free options. Cabiria is open for breakfast, lunch and aperitivo. Aperitivo is a great Italian invention — between 7pm and 9pm ordering a drink entitles you to eat from a free food buffet. A drink costs a little more than the list price but you basically have a meal included.

Check out the revolving exhibits of local photography and artwork inside the cafè or grab a drink and head to the outdoor patio where you can watch the action in the piazza.
